You have snow! I'm jealous.

Flop!

Hey Van :)

Is it alright if I use one of the photos as the cover for my Christmas CD? I'll give you credit of course.

For us living in more temperate zones, this image is really a treat. I guess I'll need my cold weather gear reallll soon. I'm heading to Ohio for Christmas. :-)

Nice pictures; they make me miss Rochester and Boston.

Any way you could post them smaller, though? I'm working with a 15 inch monitor, and I have to scroll back and forth to see the whole picture.

Looks nice; however, I'm glad we only had a heavy dusting in Cambridge, MA.
But it is cold enough (meaning too cold as I trudged back from the Library and HMO with some drugs an hour ago.)

Lovely snow - lovely water

I think I understand now where people get the combination of using blues with beige and wheat colours. Your first image makes them look so appealing!

The second one is making me think of early winter back home - just before the river would freeze up. It was only 2 minute walk through the woods over the back fence, and we would often go there.

Hugs and keep snapping them pictures! Loving them!
Danny

I'm surprised you do not. Are you fond of winter?

Absolutely, I would be delighted! I would be happy to crop one of the original images to fit, if you can tell me the dimensions you need.

In the past I disliked winter, but the closer I draw to nature and its beauty, the more my heart softens.

What part of Ohio will you visit and when? The lights of Sandusky are visible at night across the lake from my parents' house.

I have a small monitor, too, but my resolution is set at 1024 x 768 pixels, which is fairly standard. You might be able to increase your resolution in the display settings of your control panel. Lately I have been posting images around 700 x 524 pixels to keep up with [livejournal.com profile] ruralrob, one of the best photo-bloggers on LJ, but I checked around and noticed that most photographers normally post smaller images. If I went back to a maximum of 600 x 480, would you be able to view the whole thing?

I didn't plan to stay out long this morning, but the beauty kept drawing me further.

I noticed that same colour combo in the image. It's one of the things I have to like about winter. I also like how the grey shadows hint towards purple.

I'm a bit surprised we don't have snow too, but then again we got very little last year. And yes, I love winter. A good snowfall reminds me of growing up in Vermont. That, and my allergies go into remission for months on end.

I disliked winter for years, but my developing relationship with the river over the past three winters has started to soften my heart. The closer and more personal I get with nature, the more I see senescence and dormancy as an essential part. Shy of the cold, I intended to go for a short walk this morning, but the beauty of the snow kept drawing me further.

Wonderful images. As always. I think I need photography lessons . . .

I'm going to Springfield and Cincinnati, although I have relatives in other parts of Ohio as well.

600x480 would be best, but I find that I can make it work by adjusting my display settings. It makes the text size smaller, which is irritating but livable. Thanks for the suggestion.
