Favourite images from 2003

I always find out which photos are popular, but rarely do I point out my own favourites. Some of them receive rave reviews, others pass with little notice. Occasionally one will become special to me partly because friends like it so much, like the image of the black cat with streaks of light.

Here is where I get to share my favourite images one more time. I intended to choose 10, but the furthest I could cut it down was 16, so they will appear in two posts: people and nature, with eight images each.

My favourite photos, 2003. Part 2: people

Without question, my happiest and most important event in 2003 was meeting djjo almost six months ago. I'm sure I will take many better pictures of him, but this is my favourite I have so far, and it was taken on one of our nicest days together (though we have many fine memories).

But if I could pick one day in 2003 to relive, it would be May 18. It was simply perfect, and this is my favourite photograph of the year.
