October memories
Feb. 8th, 2004 12:33 pmAt the party last night Jon handed me this snapshot he took at the Hallowe'en dance. Admittedly, I was startled by the idea of anyone restricting his picture-taking since Canadian Thanksgiving to a single roll of film. It's posted here with his permission.

Our costumes were supposed to be simply tacky; lounge lizards or something. My friends' responses were hilarious. Birgit asked if I was supposed to be Walt Whitman, which flattered me. Michelle said I looked like a rabbi vacationing in Lauderdale. Most of them hadn't met Danny before, so they politely declined to inquire about his outfit. The conservative Guelph crowd gets confused by facial hair.
This is the only photo I have of me and
djjo simply hanging out. In hindsight this was about the time we started to realize we both wanted something more than a casual friendship. Besides the good company, for the first time in several years I was having great sex that consistently made me feel filled up and connected rather than hollow and detached. It was such a relief to discover I could still enjoy another person that much. Thinking about it makes me misty.
Thanks, handsome cub. I can hardly wait for Friday.
