There is snow on the ground. I don't want to look or talk about it, much less photograph it. I darted across the street in short sleeves to buy milk this morning, but the air wasn't particularly cold. Why was this necessary? I feel betrayed by nature. Global warming, indeed.

The concert went off without a hitch. As Bob said, we had never been so well prepared for a performance. As to the quality of the music, I can't say. Singing, I heard every slip, every dissonance.

[livejournal.com profile] djjo arrived Friday night, and the rest yesterday afternoon: [livejournal.com profile] detailbear, [livejournal.com profile] balunbustingbea, [livejournal.com profile] token_otter and Todd. We convened at the Greek Garden, my favourite restaurant, for a light dinner before I headed to the church for warm-ups while the others hung out at my place until showtime.

It sounds like I have recruited [livejournal.com profile] balunbustingbea to the choir for next season. Hurray, another low baritone for the section. And another bear singing beside me, even better.

Afterwards, [livejournal.com profile] detailbear, [livejournal.com profile] djjo and I joined the winding-down party before returning to my place. [livejournal.com profile] detailbear gave me the first professional massage I have received in many years. Every chorister should be so lucky. Today I feel limp as a rag.
