I have been trying to embed a video I shot last week and uploaded to Youtube, but LJ keeps automatically inserting a <lj-embed></lj-embed> tag, which serves the useful purpose of rendering the object invisible. I have not had this problem before. I've tried editing the post using both Semagic and the online editing interface. The thing just keeps coming back. Is this something new the powers-that-be have introduced without debugging? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix it (i.e. stop LJ from embedding this dysfunctional tag) so I can post my video?

Cheers.

UPDATE: Okay never mind. I received a response from support. LJ has changed the way it handles embedded material, and the LJ style I use (A Novel Conundrum) is not displaying embedded content correctly. Developers are on it. Technically I could post the video and you would be able to view it on your friends page if you use a different style. I could also switch styles. I think I'll wait. The video isn't very good anyway.
