An excellent weekend
Jan. 24th, 2010 10:54 pmI think last night's concert was one of Rainbow Chorus's best performances. My little talk about "Pretty Things" went well. Having the opportunity to rehearse it twice helped. I was still nervous, but didn't tremble or lose my train of thought.
hangnaildhole and
atldaddybear came down to attend and spend the evening with me and Danny. They stayed overnight and headed home after a lasagna brunch this afternoon. Their company made the weekend extra enjoyable. Mike brought some amazing gluten-free cookies made with caramel, dates and Rice Krispies. I must get the recipe from him.
We didn't get to bed until after 2 a.m., so I gave myself a break on the morning routine today. I didn't set the alarm, woke up around 8, got up and sat in front of the light box. By then bears were beginning to stir, so I waited until this afternoon and took a short break to write the 100 words. I skipped working on the novel, but this was the first time in 11 days. I'm okay with that.
I'm exhausted. I'll go to bed in a few minutes and get back in the routine tomorrow morning.
