Our anticipated trip to install the new organ in Vancouver has been delayed yet again. This time it's because the church hasn't begun structural renovations, which must be completed before we can go ahead. So we'll travel the first week of January at the earliest.
It's a relief actually. We were gearing up to start disassembling the organ in the shop and ship it, but there is still much to be done. For the past four weeks I've been prevoicing pipes. In this photo I'm scribing in preparation to cut up the mouth of the pipe. I've updated the organ blog so you can read more about it there. Hopefully I'll finish this particular task today or tomorrow.
Meanwhile I'm looking to take a week's vacation in late October or November. My last serious vacation was Winnipeg in May 2010.
