[Dream] Gardens
Dec. 21st, 2012 08:21 amI was touring a series of elaborate gardens like the Villa D'Este, following a map through a bucolic countryside that looked more like someplace in England. As I travelled, the gardens became more primitive and overgrown.
One consisted of a massive cylindrical concrete mesa with a series of three or four terraces on top. They were covered with undergrowth and were supposed to have pools along the outside edges, but these had dried up. A series of doors, corridors and stairways inside led between the different levels. I was following or trying to find someone. This was part of a game.
I arrived at a retreat centre or monastery and decided to stay there for a while. I discussed this my travelling companions
smileyfish and someone else. We decided to break up for a while. I told them to look for me later at a different location.
I set out on foot on a pilgrimage. The landscape had changed to somewhere near Stouffville, Ontario. Neal, my childhood friend, was my travelling companion. A tornado (a frequent dream element for me) appeared and we lay down in a grassy ditch for safety. It passed directly over us but we were safe.
The last episode centred on B'elanna Torres, who was living quietly in one of the country retreats I visited. She had ended an unsuccessful romantic relationship with Will Riker, realized she was a lesbian, met my friend Crystal and fallen in love. They were passionately kissing.
