It's time I gave some thought to how I'll shape 2016 for myself.

An intense wave of boredom washed over me today. Maybe it's a good sign of waking up. 2015 hasn't been a good year; at least not the second half. Nothing bad happened except a tough bout of depression, and that's bad enough for everything. My mood usually starts to pick up by the end of December, but this time I feel the toughness holding onto me.

I need to operate "as if" things were going to get better. That requires a call to action for the year ahead.

Several projects have suggested themselves:

  1. Start a new food blog based on the cookbook and meal plan I created this year.

  2. Keep a nature journal every day for a year.

  3. Continue work on my novel.

  4. Plan to devote more energy to fibre craft during the second and third quarters, when I'm less verbal and more visual.

  5. Get published in new magazine markets, of course.

Those are as many "big picture" goals as I an wrap my head around, and as many words as I can assemble, for today.
