Danny's birthday
Nov. 29th, 2005 07:20 pmLast night was rough. During Danny's birthday dinner at Stephen and Todd's place I started to get a headache. By the time we got back to the house, the ache had taken over most of my body. It seemed like the onset of flu. I went to bed early and woke at 2 feeling much better but with things on my mind I couldn't shake. I got up to knit and finally returned to sleep after 4:30.
I suspect the sickness and sleeplessness arose from eating most of a bag of Twizzlers at the movies yesterday. I took him to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I showered and nuzzled him before catching the bus home. What's encouraging about all this is that despite feeling wretched, I really wanted to go into Two Rivers at my scheduled time this afternoon.
Plate tectonics. Continental drift. Gradual but monumental change.
A good part of the solid ground to move forward comes from this man I love.
Happy birthday

Keep searching the lines of houses.
You'll find silver alleys glimmering
under washed gold morning.
Thread the wires together
and starling clouds will erupt
as storms through your fingers,
dancing statues.
