A trumpet calls sun forth violently upon the land.
Earth imprisoned by self coldness
swells groaning, releases regret from veins,
whelms the channel of cracked intransigence,
and bursts. A trench-bound army
surmounts the rampart of a town's impoundment.
Green rage climbs the banks
to ambush a row of oppressive grim buildings
asleep, complacent.
Screams pierce the air, deafening,
a winged force drawn from banishment
by power of desire, reclaiming lost territory.
And inveterate dandelions
overthrow the prim oligarchy
of a rural matron's garden.
