Nerves

It has been a busy weekend here. Robyn's art opening appeared to be a great success. Danny met my brother's entire family there. The lunch visit yesterday with my parents was pleasant enough.

[livejournal.com profile] brunorepublic and [livejournal.com profile] djjo are conspiring to resuscitate the newer computer, so keep your fingers crossed.

And keep them crossed for me at 2:30 this afternoon as I give my poetry reading at OOTS. I'm more nervous than expected, suddenly convinced my poetry has nothing interesting or worthwhile to say. The readings I did in 2000 and 2001 didn't hit me this way, so why now?

If you will be reading from "An Elegant Path" I can officially inform you that your conviction that your poetry "has nothing interesting or worthwhile to say" is entirely unfounded.

Have a good time.

Good luck on the poetry reading and of the newer computer.

Let's hope Danny and Bruce can pinpoint something simple and easy to fix and not too expensive.

Thanks, Paul. I'm sure I'll manage to enjoy it anyway. I'll read a few selections from the chapbook plus others.
