As New Year's Eves go, it was one of the best, beating several I've spent cruising loud, crowded bars alone. I only have proofing left to do, and expect to start printing the chapbook over the weekend so I can take orders and start shipping next week. I dreamt of doing violence: smashing, blasting, stabbing. More Japanese anime. I sketched this in a few minutes on Sunday morning. First of all, I don't usually post birthday greetings here, but special congratulations are in order to my special friend ghostsandrobots for surviving her third decade. I realized Danny won't return from Michigan until tomorrow evening, and I was tired, so I decided to come home for the night and head into Toronto tomorrow. Pulling into Guelph last night, I noticed moisture condensing on the car windows. I have been reading about death. The vacation has carried through this weekend as Danny and I decided to stay in Guelph and partake of the Elora Fergus Studio Tour yesterday. In a further email, Barbara lists her "silver star award" winners: nine writers who have contributed 10 short stories or more to 1001 Nights Cast. I can't even think how to say this.
