Van Gogh entrelac scarf
Dec. 2nd, 2008 03:55 pmI set this aside in fall 2007 to work on Christmas projects and it lay idle for about a year, during which time I managed to lose the Debbie Bliss book I'd been working from, entitled simply How To Knit. Must have left it at the laundromat. I tried other entrelac patterns to get started again, but being used to her nice diagrams I could not figure out where to pick up, so in desperation I finally purchased a new copy of the book. This is possibly my favourite colour of my favourite yarn, Noro Silk Garden #249. It reminds me of the colour palette of a Van Gogh painting, hence the name. I've almost finished the first skein, with three more in stock, so I'll sequence through these colours four times. I'm very happy to be working with it again. I'm taking a year off of knitting for Christmas. This is just for me.
