In the category of really weird and impossible coincidences, my writing buddy Sarah and I just finished reading the same book by Miranda July. It's not even a new one people are talking about. In fact I had never heard of July and was unaware I owned the book until I found it on my shelf last week and needed something to read. I must have won it as a door prize somewhere, or maybe a friend like Lori had given it to me. So today I mentioned it to Sarah on our writing date because something about the writing style reminded me of her endearing quirkiness. Turns out she had recently signed it out of the Public Library and finished reading it on Saturday. I finished it on Tuesday. Now maybe we can just both win the lottery at once, even though neither of us ever buy tickets.
