Dreamer in distress

Just before we arrived at the cottage last weekend, something under the car hit the ground whenever we went over a bump, and it started to tear away. It turned out to be a heat shield protecting something from paint when they spray the underbody, so it was dispensable, but at the time we didn't know what it was. That night I had a toe infection manifest painfully for the second time in a month. We had work to do at the cottage, but my body and the car were demanding emergency attention.

I had a fitful sleep with a strange dream I wrote down next day while waiting for emergency triage in Huntsville Hospital, and marian_w and djjo were at Canadian Tire getting the car looked after.

In my dream I was worrying about my foot and the car. Danny and I had an adopted baby daughter. We went to Toronto to visit friends, a lesbian couple, Kim from the Rainbow Chorus and her partner. They also had a baby. Kim had decided she didn't like their house, so just as we arrived they were tearing it down. I was upset because we didn't have anywhere to stay. And my foot hurt. I couldn't remember our baby's name, which was the final straw. Kim and I were sitting together on the grass and I started to cry.
