This afternoon I spent several hours with Bob, Edwin and Sylvie setting up the church where the choir will perform tomorrow night. Bob used coffee cans, duct tape and coloured gel sheets to build contraptions to cover the lights, bathing the church ceiling in rainbow colours. We also had to hang a screen for the slide presentation accompanying our performance, showing Canadian scenery and images of musical personalities like Celine Dion and Healy Willan.

I want to mention that the concert will feature the premiere of a song by our own Terrilyn Coward, Rise With Pride.

Bob is afraid of heights, Edwin has serious back pain, and I'm not allowed to reach or lift yet. So Sylvie spent most of the afternoon on top of a high ladder doing the butch work.

She and I had a late lunch at Diana's Restaurant, a popular Guelph establishment that serves Indian and Canadian food. I always avoid Indian food because my stomach can't handle too much spice. but Sylvie directed me to tandoori nan, which was mild and delicious.

I came home to rest before getting ready for tonight's tech rehearsal, but ended up spending the past couple of hours reading and replying to comments on LJ. This is becoming a bad habit. Now it's time to grab a quick snack and get dressed. No time for a rest. It will be a long evening and I'm already tired.

Brian is becoming distant. I miss doing things with him. We always said we were just friends who had sex. It worked for a while. But now that the sex is over, is there anything left? I thought there would be. Maybe I just need to give it time.
