Today's challenge from NaPoWriMo was to write a social media poem. What I decided to do was comb my Facebook friends feed for original (by them) content and pull interesting phrases. Then I composed a piece of found poetry. Warning: contains rough and tumble sexual innuendo.
Hump Week
Just outside my garden
a harem of hunky cyclists five way relationship
most elaborately decorated
huge package heavy black pendulous moustache day
accelerator head squee at hypersonic speed.
The kind of soldier I was I’m more of a tat girl
I’ll consume them at my own custom pace
the mood to anoint mainly for the dude’s shirt
stick to ambiguous terms like – may find him noodling
full weeks of sap collection the vibrato just happens.
Attempts to fry gnocchi had an extinction burst
maidens are a little warped and wobbly
my first wind chime endured lots of hate
mustn’t touch one another
close the writing room.
