Guelph's most remarkable graffiti is getting old. These shots were taken Friday at lunchtime in the rain, which is all we got from Isabel. The first one seems especially appropriate as we're approaching an Ontario provincial election on October 2.

These are really good ones, aren't they. I love the first one especially; although the sentiments expressed are way too cynical for me, what a great photo they make!

Pieces of the puzzle

Wow, an urban art gallery! My favorite is the pieces of the puzzle mural, with its salute to Earth, Mother of All, and what looks like a representation of the Wheel of the Year (it's probably some Canadian political thing). Where exactly is Guelph in relation to Toronto and Ottawa?

I'm gonna do some serious talking to my Sweetie when I see him (over T-giving weekend--hey,you might be there too!) about scheduling a weekend visit to Toronto over the Winter. I'd love it if he could be a part of that, but it is difficult because he does a lot of weekend skiing during that time. I'm tentatively thinking of mid January or sometime in Feb. (the "Presidents Day" weekend here in the US, perhaps).

That puzzle mural is quite unique. I heard that it was a class project. The panels all have political themes, many of them environmental.

Guelph is 75 minutes west of downtown Toronto. I try to go to TO by bus about once a month. If you make the trip, we could certainly get together. I have room for guests here, too.
