Looks as if the fall colors have finally come to Guelph. A poignant, melancholic, and mystical sight.
I took some pages from your April journal to read over lunch, and coming back to find this image posted here sounded a deep note of sharp counterpoint to all the excitement of the arrival of Spring back then.
The courage and honesty with which your reveal yourself in poetry and prose are truly inspiring. I know you say you write because you must, but so many simply conceal their true thoughts under so many layers of equivocation.
The fresh air that infuses your words is most welcome here.
I don't know why this silver maple with its pale colours seems even more autumnal than the sugar maples, but there is something almost wintery in the misty atmosphere and ashy leaf litter.
I'll have to review my April entires. It seems so long ago.
