I have heard of this wish. I feel the same. If I had my druthers, I would live at the cottage or somewhere like Amber Fox. But here is a good compromise.
Ironically my home feels urban to me, but well situated. My camera usually bypasses some ugliness I live with, creating an illusion that I'm surrounded by quiet gardens and unspoiled nature. On the other hand, I realize a city of 96,000 feels like country to many people. On top of that, Guelph is remarkably mindful of its green space.
I would like to have you and DS (and DO, of course) out for a visit sometime, soon maybe.
i guess i was thinking of the 'weeping' variety. i think you'd like the parks, here, though they might seem rather harsh at first. the desert has VERY different vegetation.~paul
Van, you look so different! I mean, the outfit's pretty groovy...but maybe the bowtie is overkill?and your mouth looks kinda weird. Are you ok?;) ANyway, I love that last pic. *sigh* so gorgeous.

Date: 2003-10-28 08:10 am (UTC)I wish I could live in the country. Not wistful wishing with the usual dull ache but a sudden sharp pang.
