The air along the Eramosa this morning is silent, awake.

Thank you! As usual, these were all taken within a five minute walk of my place this morning. For an apartment dweller I am awfully lucky.

Ow.

I wish I could live in the country. Not wistful wishing with the usual dull ache but a sudden sharp pang.

I have heard of this wish. I feel the same. If I had my druthers, I would live at the cottage or somewhere like Amber Fox. But here is a good compromise.

Ironically my home feels urban to me, but well situated. My camera usually bypasses some ugliness I live with, creating an illusion that I'm surrounded by quiet gardens and unspoiled nature. On the other hand, I realize a city of 96,000 feels like country to many people. On top of that, Guelph is remarkably mindful of its green space.

I would like to have you and DS (and DO, of course) out for a visit sometime, soon maybe.

Wow. Vivid images.

Is that Virginia creeper? If so, I'm surprised that it's that red this late.

Yes. The vine is on a sheltered east wall, but it has dropped most of its leaves.

I took several pictures of willows this morning, too, though they're Salix nigra and don't sway very much in the wind.

i guess i was thinking of the 'weeping' variety. i think you'd
like the parks, here, though they might seem rather harsh at
first. the desert has VERY different vegetation.~paul

I especially like the pond. Quiet and peaceful, looking like it is getting ready for the winter.

and my sick, twisted, sleep deprived mind looked at the scarecrow and though - now why does he have such a large basket? [g]

Hugs! Danny

He has a large basket and shy smile because he see you, handsome.
