My October entry has been published in Living With Nature at Suite101. This is the first time I have used a day-by-day nature journal format, and I'm pleased with the results. The article contains links to more photos, none of which, except the ones from Oct. 6, have appeared in this LiveJournal.

I printed this out to read later tonight, then realized that you said that all the photos except for one day's entry were new, so I went back to look at them all.

For me, the way the elements impinge upon these autumnal snapshots is something that speaks most eloquently to my sensibility. I was fascinated by the shot in which you were trying to "photograph wind"; I thought it made a wonderful image for the Element of Air. Another photograph was just droplets of water dappling a lake--reminded me of that line by Emily Dickinson, "silent as dots on a disc of snow." No snow, but plenty of silence here.

hugs, Shimmer

Yes. Fire and earth also abound. I had other, more striking images of light in the sky, which for some reason I neglected to use. No question, water is the element I feel closest to. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, and hope you enjoyed the article, too.

Hugs.
