100words.com has used one of my October entries for its feature today, but you'll have to visit the website on November 1 to see it.

Or you can view my entire October block.

Warning! I can't explain the warning without giving away the theme, but I chose a difficult one for October, and it makes difficult reading. If you're in the mood to slog through, I will as usual mail a card to the first person who identifies the theme. Hint: the theme is one word, and this time I did not, even once in the entire month, use the actual word.

Okay, it's time for me to start working on the novel. I will not be doing 100words in November, so I can concentrate on NaNoWriMo.

Hoo boy. Not an easy month, as you say. The anger comes through pretty strongly.

My my! Anger it is. You are the winner, two times in a row. The last card went into the mail only yesterday. I'll find something entirely different to mail this time.

I just finished writing the first 3,232 words of my novel this afternoon. Yay!

Thanks. I'm glad you don't have a rule like those radio-station contests, where you're ineligible if you've won anything from them in the past six months.

Congratulations. I can't wait to read it.

You can, of course. :-) It's all in [livejournal.com profile] blind_king. Some of the material will seem familiar from the exercise I did in September, but it will start to diverge soon.

Thanks. I couldn't get the pages to load properly this morning, and didn't realized I had entered a location at all. My location is fixed now.

I guessed your theme, too.

Intense, sure -- but a truly compelling read. I've read one or two other month-blocks; not sure if I told you before how much I admire your 100 Words writing.

Thank you. Those blocks are some of my favourite work from the past few months. Something about the format, a small commitment and discipline, produces spare, focused, vivid writing. It's intuitively obvious that this should be so. Too bad I don't have the patience to write a novel this way, 100 words a day.

I didn't have a chance to read much of your work yesterday, but it looks like you had a productive day, as I did. Good going! I'm trying to write blocks of about 3,200 words so I don't have to work on it every day. Taking today off. Then working Monday and Tuesday. Using Danny's space worked really well yesterday.
