Date: 2003-11-10 09:40 am (UTC)I love photographic evidence of the everyday framed as art. I had a friend who had several black-and-white photos of everyday objects (purse, doorknob, ashtray) hanging on the wall of his living room. I was fascinated and thought it a cool idea...until he pointed out each of the objects looked like a human face. *sigh*
Strange how it lost its magic for me there...it's like it became...hmm...cute-sy.

Date: 2003-11-10 08:21 pm (UTC)Thank you so much! I did, indeed, like the larger image...I dunno why. There's so much character in such banality...
Perhaps it's because it allows me to imagine backstories behind the objects themselves. Perhaps, instead, it's the opposite...that the objects are wonderfully devoid of any meaning and therefore are allowed to be viewed for themselves...
Who can tell? *grins* I just like 'em. Thanks. :)
