They're easy. For those who wanted to know....

¼ cup of butter
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecan halves
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle in the next three ingredients in order and then drizzle sweetened condensed milk overtop. Bake for 30 minutes.

I used to make these, but my recipe was without the butter. And I stirred in the condensed milk.

That variation sounds good, too.

I got the recipe from my mom, who made them without coconut, but it seems like a logical thing to include. Think I'll try them that way.

my recipe is called "seven layer cookies" and includes more ingredients -- butterscotch chips as well as chocolate, and I think the coconut too. So rich, so good!
