If you like trees you will love iamthelorax. That is the only other one I know and like well enough to recommend. Several communities that I do not view regularly, but which might be worth trying: color_theory, naturesbeauty and fourelements.

Ants are so focused on doing their jobs, which appeals to a certain work ethic, but it's really impractical. Why burn yourself out when you could sit in a diaphanous tent and look at the light?

Great image! I saw my very first cicada only about a year and a half ago. It has become one of my most favorite insects, along with stinkbugs (which we are still finding in the house! I think some actually bred in here) and the hummingbird hawkmoth.

Oh, aren't those hummingbird moths marvelous! I saw one this summer. I don't think it was the first time, but I hadn't seen one in many years. They're as unbelievable as hummingbirds.
