Oooo, Connor, you were so close I would have given you the prize if someone else hadn't given a more precise answer. The theme you named certainly ran through many of the days, but the word I had in mind throughout the month was light.
Another good guess, in fact I thought someone might see that one. The correct answer was light, but several times I talked about breaking it down into colours.
I didn't want to choose "light" because a) someone already had, and b) I noted that the color-talk seemed to be more consistent throughout the entries.
(Good thing I didn't post my first thought, which was "sanctuary-seeking", a far-too-facile term for what appeared to me to be a yearning toward some form of safe haven against outside forces beyond personal control.)
January certainly turned into a sanctuary-seeking month. The latter half, spent in Toronto with Danny, felt like a haven. I can see I'm going to have to choose more obscure themes to entertain you. ;-)
Unfortunately I didn't feel any 100-word inspiration to start off February, so it looks like I'll take a break for the month.
