What file size do you shoot for (memory-wise) in the pictures you post. 250K neighborhood?

My camera doesn't take high-resolution images of the quality that would be required for art prints. The originals are between 250 and 600K. By the time I crop and reduce them to screen size, they are mostly between 40 and 100K. I often post about three images at once, so the combined size is around 250K. For anyone like me using dial-up, I know anything larger than that is tedious. And smaller is preferable, which is why I usually put some of the images behind a cut.

Yeah, there was a particular toughness about this graffiti, plus I admired how the artist(s) made use of the low wall.
