Eramosa reflections

They're back.



One could find open water on the river all winter, but suddenly it is alive and shimmering. The air is electric with the little bell songs of juncos. A randy cardinal whistles. Canada geese trumpet and dart restlessly around the pond. The breeze is saturated with fragrant mud and hormones.

Here in Kansas City, spring is just starting to hit its stride, and the weather patterns are definately spring like.
