Safely home
Nov. 13th, 2003 09:19 pmThe traffic was unusually light, so the trip went quickly. Snow and ice were not a problem, but the wind was unusually strong and nearly blew the car off the road a couple times. I'm glad Enterprise gave me a free upgrade to a larger car, a Cavalier. The forecast warned of gusts up to 110 kph (78 mph). I left Guelph at 2:40 p.m. and arrived back at 8, with a stop for dinner.
On the ride back, I realized that what I need in order to continue writing my novel is not a break, but a couple days hanging out with my two silly girls. I suppose it was my own children who inspired me, in the first place, to write something entirely whimsical.
