Can you smell my keyboard burning?
Nov. 12th, 2003 06:25 pmI haven't posted as much as usual the past couple days because I have been trying to plunge ahead with the novel. I haven't even gone for my usual walks, and consequently have had no new photos. I had to go out for several hours last night, though, and tonight is choir rehearsal. The writing is going pretty well, although I haven't worked as far ahead as I had hoped.
Thanks to
stealthpup for the ongoing Scrabble challenge. The periodic, brief, stimulating interludes make it easier to keep working.
Tomorrow I will rent a car and pick up my daughters for our first visit since the end of August. This has been an unusually long period of separation. I don't plan to spend much time on the computer for the next few days.
Brenna, my baby, turns 10 on Saturday. I plan to take them to the Royal Winter Fair, then meet
djjo for dinner. My girls are remarkably easy-going about meeting my friends, so I'm not worried about them getting along, but still nervous about it. Hopefully the show will furnish some fun photos.
So life continues busier than I'm used to. My mood is good but I'm damn tired of writing, and ready to take a break for several days.
It's pouring rain and there's an electrical storm happening outside, very unusual for this time of year. I ought to shut down, and I'm sick of looking at this monitor anyway.
Hugs to all, and three kisses to Danny.
