Nymphaea odorata (fragrant white water lily)
Eriocaulon aquaticum (pipewort)Danny gave me a 512 MB disc for my camera at the beginning of the summer. The past 10 days at the cottage I blissfully shot 250 photos without the slightest worry about running out of memory. I could only fit about 300 images on the three old discs; now I have room for about 1,100 altogether, which will allow 68 photos per day during the trip to the Maritimes. Luxury.
I already miss the peace and simplicity of Lake Fletcher, lucidly evoked by these two photos I took wading around the bay on Monday (more cottage photos to follow).
Tomorrow we're going to Toronto for a visit with Danny and CanStage's
Dream in High Park; this season's production is Much Ado About Nothing.
Before Tuesday I also need to print directions off MapQuest, check the camping equipment, get the car serviced and buy groceries. Most of the plans have fallen into place. Gary emailed from Cape Breton to let us know they're expecting us on the farm, but I haven't yet been able to reserve a campsite for our last stop in Quebec City.
The next three weeks promise not only to be hectic, but also rich with memory.
