And here is my most recently completed knitting project. I made Marian one of these head huggers a year ago Christmas, but this is the first one for myself. I actually did it over the course of a few days in January, but needed help from
djjo for the last step, grafting the edges together to eliminate a seam. The design is available from him.
Although quick, it's one of the most difficult knitting projects I've completed, involving seed stitch around the brim and a lot of short-row finagling in the crown. But it's extremely satisfying, great fun with a variegated yarn. It's also a good way to indulge in a little expensive yarn, as it only requires one skein. As before, I used Noro Silk Garden, but I've lost track of the colour number. Behind the cut is a crown shot showing the full colour palette.
So this is my new spring hat.
