I've had lots of fun with the video function on my camera lately, and here is my first experiment with Windows Movie Maker. It's coverage from Toronto Pride 2007 on June 23 and 24. Brenna and I toured Church Street on Saturday evening, so the first few episodes come from that. On Sunday [livejournal.com profile] marian_w and [livejournal.com profile] growingratitude joined us to attend the parade.

My friend Dave came along and asked us to march with him and a gay parents' network. I discussed it with the girls, and they were keen, so we joined Dave's contingent when it came along. In the attempt to cross the barricade, I fell, but the crowd lifted me up and over. I suppose marching with my daughters in the Pride parade is the proudest thing that could happen, and I captured a few moments from the incident.

At the end, we doubled back to see the rest of the parade that followed us. The video ends with a performance by my perennially favourite act in the whole show, The Righteously Outrageous Twirling Corps.
