Seven

djjo and I both like solitude, so for most of our relationship we have been in the habit of talking only once or twice on the phone during the week while we are apart. Recent circumstances have led us to talk every day. I like this deal. We certainly have enough to talk about.

I met Danny seven years ago today, and they have been the happiest years of my life so far. I don't mind spending so much time apart because his companionship has made me more at peace with myself. During the past year we have both had significant stress, which has forced us to be more honest with ourselves and one another. Still, the currents remain gentle. Never in any of these situations have I felt a flicker of desire to be anywhere else.
