The Biodôme is visible in the distance at right. The Botanical Gardens fills the green space to the left of it.

That garden certainly has come a long way since I last saw it, a muddy field with a pond/puddle the middle of it!

Which one, the Japanese? They had some info about how and when it was established. Despite the trees, it felt recent. The Chinese Garden seemed much more mature, but that could have been an illusion.

The Japanese one. I think the last time I was there, Pauline Esther and Mitsou were still on the radio.

Les took some pictures on his camera at the same site, but you're right, we could have traded cameras, too. Danny took a picture of me on my camera at the Botanical Gardens, but it got lost in the cut to many more interesting photos. If any of my friends put up pictures of me in Montreal I'll post a link in my journal.

The Chinese garden looks like it'd be worth a visit, for sure.

ObPhotoGeekery: How did you manage to take such a good picture of the inside of that church?

I left the flash on. In these conditions, flash pictures turn out underexposed, but the details are clearer and the colour is more accurate. In Paintshop Pro I increased the luminance slightly and used the sharpening filter to bring out more details. This picture does not show the church's full glory, but at least it's a hint.

I also like the "First Nations Garden," although its features were minimalistic and didn't photograph well.
