A family night

I just made an easy dinner: jasmine rice, green beans with butter, sautéed mushrooms and marinated sirloin steak—rare for Marian, medium rare for me and Brenna. Marian said it was the best meal she has had in a month.

Right now they're putting the magnetic poetry on the new fridge.

I had planned to go to the chorus's monthly fundraising dance for an hour this evening. Just because I can; Marian turned 13 in December. I was going to let them watch a movie. But when it comes right down to it, I can't choose a movie I want to miss seeing with them. There will be other dances. So I'm going to stay home.

Awww, what a great family evening! Sounds like a really nice way to spend some time with the girls.

And you are so right. There will be many more dances, but these moments you are all able to enjoy together come but once.
