First days of spring
Mar. 21st, 2005 05:19 pmYesterday we drove Brenna home. Wet snow let up as we approached Lindsay.
Marian didn't get out of the car to see her mother, so my ex came outside. I felt a little sorry for her. Marian didn't have much to say. My ex and Danny got a glance at each other, nothing more.
Then we turned around and drove back into the snow. It was gorgeous, sticking to tree branches, but we were all sick of winter. I didn't stop for photographs. Between lingering congestion, nasty driving conditions and eye strain, I ended up with a headache. It was comforting to have Danny along.
Back in Toronto,
djjo,
bitterlawngnome and
danthered threw me a birthday dinner, attended by
rfmcdpei,
balunbustingbea,
detailbear,
teddybtoronto,
raccoon_it, Mike and a friend, M, me and Marian. Later we watched The Incredibles. I felt increasingly exhausted.
Today was springlike. Marian and I walked all the way downtown then back along Queen Street, some seven kilometres. We stopped at Honest Ed's, HMV, Pizza Pizza, the World's Biggest Bookstore, Arton Beads, a head shop where Marian bought a new plug earring, the Second Cup, and finally caught the Ossington bus back to Danny and Bill's.
I'm still unusually sluggish and headachy.

Date: 2005-03-24 05:04 pm (UTC)I had this godawful nightmare. I was at your party, sitting outside, painfully bashful, feeling like an idiot, and topping it off I felt terrible that I was taking away from your day. So vivid and so wacked. I hope it was an incredible dinner with loved ones. be well
