Spring in High Park

West Highland cattle in High Park
The headaches and exhaustion evaporated overnight. What was that all about? I felt like I was getting the flu, but it never came. Was it my body's response to the shifts, drives and possibilities of spring? I have had some strange days.
Early this afternoon Bill did a photo shoot with me and Marian at the new studio. Then Marian and I went exploring High Park for the first time. The sun was warm and many people were sitting comfortably on benches for the first time in months.
We stopped in the restaurant for a latté and Coke. A man with hairy, well-defined pecs sat shirtless in warm sun against the south wall of the building, talking to two friends in winter coats. I siezed every opportunity for a glance at his bare skin, first of the season. All I want is my eyes full.
Lately I've received more attention than I'm used to in the sexual-romantic spectrum. In theory I'm polyamorous, but in practice I have been satisfied with the one relationship. I don't know how to respond to the hint of other opportunities.
I can't help thinking of this: it has been two good years since anyone has really hurt me. Unprecedented.

Marian looks delightfully goth in that photo. Most enjoyable!
