Marian

When [livejournal.com profile] bitterlawngnome did a photo shoot with Marian a few weeks ago, he pointed out she's a natural model. I've known it for years. His comment brought to mind some photos I took at Easter 1996, when she was four. She had physical poetry in her, and knew instinctively what to do with her body.

This past Easter Dad, a half decent photographer himself, begged her to smile for the camera and was met with a scowl. He doesn't see what he's missing.

I decided to dig out and scan some old photographs this week because my camera got left in Toronto on Sunday night.

The news on my medication is not good. After switching to taking it at night I had a couple good days, but Sunday night a grogginess hit, which hasn't lifted since. I took a down day yesterday, thinking it might just be exhaustion from the busy weekend. But by the end of the day I still felt stoned. I have no energy, concentration or desire to communicate, and my vision is shadowy.

I'm not going to take Celexa tonight, only the mirtazapine. I can hardly wait to get this chemical out of my brain.

Crap.

I'm so sorry the meds are messing you up. Big hugs on getting clear and back to yourself.

I would rather have anxiety attacks than this. Thanks for the encouragement, Pete. I'm working on it.

I am sorry to hear you are having med troubles again! Brain chemistry is so tricky.

Great shot of your daughter!!

Tricky indeed. I would much rather have anxiety attacks than this.

Glad you liked the photo. It's one of my favourite shots of her from over the years. It makes me miss my SLR camera. Actually, I still have it in the closet, but I don't miss the cost of film!

I'm not pushing either way, but you do remember that you got less than 5 hours sleep on Sunday night, right?

HUGS.

(scratching head) Are you sure? I slept until 8, and didn't think we were up that late. I figured I had more than six, which should have been enough. But my memory is pretty bad right now, too. Anyway it is not normal for me to have trouble keeping my eyes open during the day, even when I'm overtired.

I set my watch for 7:00 at 12:45. We didn't get to sleep until at least 1:30. Alarm went off at 7:00 and we were up by 7:15. I left at 8:30 and got to work at 10:00. So about 5-1/2 hours.

That still wouldn't normally knock out this badly. I seem to be much better this evening though. I decided to give Celexa one more night and see how I feel tomorrow. The worst case scenario is I'll have to rethink my plans for this week if I'm not up to driving. Keep your fingers crossed.
