Oh, I'm so pleased y'all had such a gorgeous day. Here it's been drizzling off and on, and so chilly I'm wearing my winter uniform of underwear, thick shirt and heavy trousers, sweater, peacoat, scarf and hat. It did stop raining long enough for some of us to inspect a friend's plot in the community garden around the corner from his home where we had a little brunch klatsch early this afternoon.

That is a very gorgeous photo of Danny. It may be the best one I've ever seen, although there was one with the Gent in one of his trademark hats a couple of years back that filled my eyes most appealingly.

My favorite thing is his expression. I'm sure this is not what was intended, but he seems to be saying "finish that drink, you little minx, and then I'm going to take you home and shag you mercilessly until you scream yourself hoarse." I'm sorry to project such cheap pornography upon your beautiful relationship with this gorgeous gent.

I should photograph the gardenias a few blocks down.  The odor may kill me though.

Sadly I don't even know what they smell like. Gardenias don't survive our winters, and one doesn't often find them growing indoors here.

The one down the street is a tree that's a bit large for a hothouse, though I know that gardenia can be kept as a small shrub.  It does require lots of light and fairly mild winters, though.
