I had intended to catch up on reading LJ the past few days, but hardly had a minute to spare with getting ready for the trip. By last night my concentration was shot, and I spent 45 minutes obsessing over a lost bottle of camp soap.
But I survived. Apart from packing the cooler, a shower for me, and one last minute errand, we're ready to go. The trip morphed slightly after my aunt in Nova Scotia invited us to stay at her cabin, so I cancelled the reservations at Kejimkujik National Park. I had a hard time booking a campsite near Quebec City; one individual hung up when I said, "Parlez-vous anglais?"
But now it is done. I spent Sunday evening printing maps, directions and information, about 120 pages in a three-ring binder; it will make a nice memento. Marian, as copilot, will gain some directional experience.
Have fun and stay cool.
