The short story broadcast this morning on 1001 Nights Cast can be read here. If anyone has time and inclination, I would appreciate critique of this one.

This one cuts closer to the way I want to write than anything I've written in a long time. The Tendril project is making me go deeper.

And I will refrain from the tacky double-entendre.

Prose poetry, Van. Very mysterious and beautiful. Like you, I think.

Thank you. It actually is more me than anything I've written in a long time. Partly because I've grown more confident about writing short stories for this website in a brief time frame, so I have lost the frenetic sense of having to pour words onto paper (poetry takes time, and last night I felt a sense of leisure, with my glass of red wine). Partly because the Tendril project has forced me to go deeper, in fact I've been thinking a lot about the fantasy novel I tried to write during my teens and twenties, and about my approach to writing it.
