10 things that bring me joy

Frost this morning
A meme from
- Taking my daughters to a new, wild place and watching them become engrossed in poking around, turning over rocks in search of tiny, slithery critters.
- Sunshine on my desk first thing in the morning, inviting me to pour a cup of decaf with cream, come sit, open the notebook, uncap the fountain pen, and write.
- Watching bearded men kiss.
- Thai food, especially coconut chicken soup. Call me a copycat, but really, nothing beats it.
- Pulling muffins or quick bread out of the oven.
- Hearing a flock of cedar waxwings fly overhead whistling softly, or watching them dance along a branch, passing berries from beak to beak.
- Sitting down at a grand piano with the music for Rachmaninoff's Prelude in D Major
open before me.
- A summer afternoon at Lake Fletcher, drawing on the dock, or just sitting on a lounge chair in my shorts with a gin and tonic, inhaling the sweet smell of the water, watching the ripples, and anticipating a dive into silver whenever I get hot.
- Danny's hugs.
- Finding a $10 bill forgotten in a pocket.

there's a pretty good one.
I think it's a little heavy on the chiles for my taste, but to each their own.
It has the mushrooms and the lemongrass however.
In fact, that page looks like an entire Thai feast!
