Last night was a stepping down party at the Eagle for Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2005. I attended to help sell and sign more Eighteen Men calendars. I bought two drinks for myself, had two more bought for me, and received a fifth one for entering a best ass contest I didn't win. Visited [livejournal.com profile] freakystyle and Skippy, and made a date to meet again next weekend. Reconnected with Owen, a friend of some five years. Made out for a while with another calendar man and partook of a particular pleasure, gnawing on defined shoulders and biceps. I don't go to the Eagle often, but lately it has treated me well.

I will attend Mr. Leatherman Toronto Competition 2006 and Victory Ball at Koolhaus on November 26 to promote the calendar again.

Marian is here now. We stopped at Richter's Herbs on the way down from Lindsay this afternoon and each bought a plant. A smell of tea tree and eucalyptus followed us into the car. I had to return to Toronto, having forgotten to leave Danny's transit pass. We got caught in weekend rush hour hell. Eight hours on the road today, but Marian and I had plenty to talk about.

Yes, lovely little memory to carry around and fantasize upon. ;-)

And it has been a good day here. Hope your day off was a fine one.

Cheers,
Van

sounds like a good time at the mr. leatherman event. hey, did that calendar sell very well? i hope so.

richter's herbs makes me jealous! i'm so happy to read about your solid relationship with your daughters (when i was around that age, mine was terrible with my parents-- i didn't feel i could trust them and consequently told them nothing. i guess i'm trying to say, you sound like a really great parent.)...

(also, i was so totally jealous to read a while back about that exhibit at the ontario science museum. body whatever it was called. how interesting.)

Welcome, and thanks for your comments. We sold a few more calendars on Thursday night. I heard sales had been good up to this point.

Ha! I have my own feelings about that. Wasn't much impressed with the asses that won first place and runner up, however they were both considerably younger than mine. I noticed mine received a warmer response from the audience though, so I don't give a damn about what the two judges thought.
