Old Man Willow

I'm looking forward to a few quiet days at home. Volunteering at Two Rivers seems to have brought greater focus to my free time, in fact that's likely a factor in completing An Elegant Path. Now I want to turn to other endeavours. This weekend I plan to:
  • Print the last few copies of the chapbook,
  • Design a web page to market it to people who don't know me through LiveJournal,
  • Start work on new drawings for the LiveJournal group show in Denver this summer,
  • Maybe write some new poetry.
I've been happy with the cognitive therapy group. Although I haven't applied myself as much to the homework as I would have liked the past two weeks, I'm seeing some benefits already. The final meeting is next Thursday. Then there will be a hiatus until a more advanced group starts in May.

Some of us will continue meeting informally. It's a good group of people.

I'm discussing plans for coffee with one fellow whose experience resembles my own: a writer about the same age, assistant editor of a magazine, who can't make a living at it, and hasn't worked outside the home in many years. I'm glad our paths crossed.
