Good company

-bar with friends Moe, John and Mina. I had an El Salvador: rum, Frangelico, lime and grenadine. My favourite kind of drink, unfortunately my stomach is growing increasingly intolerant. Just as well, I suppose. Eventually I had to rush home and swallow some Tums, but still felt gross for a while. I'm also starting to feel a little old for the
-bar, formerly my favourite hangout. Fortunately the company was far more agreeable. At the park today, Danny modelled my latest knitting creation, a multidirectional diagonal scarf made with Adriafil Guys yarn, 50% wool and 50% acrylic. The site links to a free pattern. Make sure to use the alternate ending for a symmetrical scarf. It's cozy, so I won't have much chance to wear it this season. This is also the pattern Danny used to make scarves for my daughters several Christmases ago.
We're expecting
shadcub and
rticboy to arrive in a few minutes for a visit and dinner, down from Ottawa. This morning I baked pumpkin bread. Later I'll put a curried pork tenderloin in the oven.
Guelph weekends seem to have become less quiet, more eventful.
A closeup of the scarf is posted in
texture.
"The standing stones" (warning: erotica, more suggestive than graphic) was posted in
free_write several days ago but I neglected to post a link until now.
