Good company II

I just got home from an impromptu overnight trip to Toronto. shadcub and rticboy were here for dinner last night and suggested I could hang out today with Ethan while Larry went to an interview. Danny also hitched a ride home and I got to spend a little more cuddle time with him, which is good because I won't see him the next two weekends.

I've met Larry and Ethan twice before, but this was our first quality time together. Larry has a genuine passion for wilderness, a quality I greatly admire. Ethan is much more urban, but plain good company. We had brunch at the Village Rainbow then wandered down Yonge Street looking at comic books and Magic: The Gathering cards.

I had to go to Honest Ed's to pick up a couple things: nine pairs of white socks and a Proctor-Silex slow cooker, as inspired by isitandlookout. While in the neighbourhood, I showed Ethan The Beguiling, an eccentric little comic book store off the beaten path. I resisted the temptation to buy more Tintin books. Then I had to catch a bus home, regretfully.

Tonight I'm going to an organizational meeting at Two Rivers for the community garden.

Wow, I didn't realize you had met them before. Years ago when I was working at Diamond Jim's Saloon, Ethan was my co-worker, boss, and all around best friend for quite sometime :)

I can't remember: did you post a recipe with that original recommendation? I need to find recipes now. But I've been fantasizing about pot roasts.

They've been friends of Danny and Bill since I don't know when. I met them at the house in Toronto at Christmas 2003, a few months after I started seeing Danny. We clicked but didn't reconnect. Next time I saw them was at Goodland's wake last fall, and that's when we became friends on LiveJournal. I can imagine Ethan would be great to work with.

Pot roasts, mmmmmmmmmm.... I like making pot roasts in a crock pot. I just finished dinner but the idea of a pot roast sure sounds good.
