This is the current season's bass-baritone section of the Waterloo-Wellington Rainbow Chorus. We're down from seven voices last season, but at least two are expected to return in September. For now, I can't imagine a pleasanter group to sing with.

Les is one of four or five members who have been singing in the Chorus since I joined in 1996, a great friend. He builds and repairs pipe organs for a living.

(From left) Basses: Van and Brad. Baritones: Les and Greg.

I don't know why I'm surprised you're a bass; I shouldn't be as it's not like I've ever heard you speak much less sing, alas. For some reason, I always heard you as a high baritone.

(I'd probably be an extremely second alto if I had any singing ability, if Mom and her brothers are any indication.)

Brad and I aren't true basses, just low baritones, but as we're the lowest male voices we get to sing bass. I used to have a fairly wide range and could sing the tenor line, but it's not comfortable for me anymore.

We actually have six or seven female tenors in the Chorus.

I confess it's nice to know that my vocal range isn't that unusual...
