The Stokes Farm Trial Gardens were closed, but across the road was a rose trial. I couldn't resist stopping and wading around. The fragrance was too real to be described.
Niagara Falls was bedlam: thousands and thousands of people, and parking cost $17.75. Fortunately we weren't especially concerned about seeing the falls. We parked at a distance and walked to the greenhouse full of tropical birds. 500 metres from the falls, free admission, and practically no one was there, an exotic, peaceful paradise.
dakoopst arrived safely. He and Brenna get on a little too famously. It's scary.
We're taking her home this morning, then heading to the cottage for several days, so we'll be out of internet contact.

Date: 2006-07-09 01:33 pm (UTC)when i first came to Canada Corry wanted to show me the falls. We drove down there all the way from London and when i saw them i cried. I was so disappointed and shocked. All this concrete and business stuff. I felt the falls were " caged" like an animal in the zoo. I couldn't bear being there for long. It hurt so much. I was glad Corry understood and wasn't mad at me.
